Begin your 6-day Umbwe Route expedition by driving from Moshi to Umbwe Gate (1,800 meters) for park registration. As you commence the trek, immerse yourself in the lush rainforest, where you'll have the chance to spot unique wildlife and vibrant flora along the trail. Cap off your day's adventure by reaching Umbwe Camp (2,850 meters), where a satisfying dinner and a restful overnight stay await. Ascend to Lava Tower (4,600 meters) for acclimatization and stunning vistas. Descend through the famed Barranco Wall, arriving at Barranco Camp (3,960 meters). Begin the day with a trek to Barafu Camp (4,673 meters), the base camp for the summit attempt, ascending through alpine desert terrain with spectacular views. Arrive at Barafu Camp in the afternoon to rest, hydrate, and prepare for the summit push. Enjoy an early dinner and settle in for an overnight stay at Barafu Camp, readying yourself for the challenging but rewarding summit climb.
Begin your summit attempt by ascending to Stella Point early in the morning, followed by the final push to Uhuru Peak, Africa's highest point at 5,895 meters. After conquering the summit, descend to Barafu Camp for a brief rest before continuing down to Mweka Camp for the night
On Day 7, begin your descent from Mweka Camp, winding through the lush rainforest and taking a moment to appreciate your successful summit climb.
