If you've chosen the optional airport transfers, our team will arrange to pick you up either from Kilimanjaro Airport or Arusha Airport and transfer you to your hotel in Moshi.
Once you've settled in, we'll schedule a pre-trek briefing at your hotel in Moshi. It's recommended to arrive at least one day before the trek begins to ensure you're well-rested and prepared. Begin your 6-day Umbwe Route expedition by driving from Moshi to Umbwe Gate (1,800 meters) for park registration. As you commence the trek, immerse yourself in the lush rainforest, where you'll have the chance to spot unique wildlife and vibrant flora along the trail. Cap off your day's adventure by reaching Umbwe Camp (2,850 meters), where a satisfying dinner and a restful overnight stay await. Ascend to Lava Tower (3,050 meters) for acclimatization and stunning vistas. Descend through the famed Barranco Wall, arriving at Barranco Camp (3,850 meters). Begin your summit attempt by ascending to Stella Point early in the morning, followed by the final push to Uhuru Peak, Africa's highest point at 5,895 meters. After conquering the summit, descend to Barafu Camp for a brief rest before continuing down to Mweka Camp for the night
On Day 6, begin your descent from Mweka Camp, winding through the lush rainforest and taking a moment to appreciate your successful summit climb. As you reach Mweka Gate at 1,640 meters, collect your well-deserved summit certificates, marking the culmination of your Kilimanjaro adventure.
